Our Story.

From awkward dating, to marriage, to having our first child, this is the story of The Keatings.

It all started at a wedding.

(Not our own of course)

It's kind of a funny story...

Jay and I officially met the summer of my brother's wedding. I knew of Jay, and we had the odd conversation here and there, but I only knew him as my brother's best friend. I always crushed on him from afar because I thought he was cute, but that's all it ever was...until my brother and sister-in-law paired us together at their wedding.

"I was so excited when my sister-in-law told me that Jay and I were paired together"

I was so excited when my sister-in-law told me that Jay and I were paired together, but I knew I had to contain my excitement because I assumed he wasn’t interested.

On the day of the wedding he was making a point of talking to me, and going out of his way to acknowledge me. I thought he was such a nice guy, but I figured that’s why he was talking to me – just to be nice. At the end of the day Jay insisted that he would drive me home, and it was then that I thought maybe there was more to this.

We started secretly dating because Jay was nervous that my brothers would be mad at him for dating their younger sister. Little did he know, I already ran and told my whole family that we were together, and everyone was super excited.

"On a beautiful fall day, Jay proposed at Dundas Peak."

Eventually he found out that my family knew, and after a few months Jay and I started publically dating. We dated for a little over a year, and then on a beautiful fall day Jay proposed at Dundas Peak.

"We welcomed our little boy, Nixon William, on our first wedding anniversary (perfect timing, eh?)"

We got married on September 3rd of the following year, and just a few short months later found out we were expecting a little bundle of cuteness. We welcomed our little boy, Nixon William, on our first wedding anniversary (perfect timing, eh?) and could not be more in love!

Life has so many beautiful moments, and Jay and I have a passion for capturing these moments.
